In our opinion, every bit of dentistry we deliver here at Smiles4Oregon is “cosmetic” because everything we do is meant to mimic nature at its best. That said, in the past 10 or 20 years, the idea of “cosmetic dentistry” vs “all other dentistry” has become popular in our culture, so we’re here to raise our hands and say, yes, yes: we do that, too!

 

We’re actually being a bit humble. In truth, not only do “we do that” but our own Dr. John Sullivan is both the Past President of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD)as well as an Accredited Member.

 

Why is this important to you? Because the AACD is the largest cosmetic dental organization in the world and offers a double-blind, peer-review accreditation process that of the roughly 190,000 practicing dentists in the United States alone, only 500 have passed so far.

 

Over-achiever that he is, Dr. Sullivan was number 263. He was also a board member of the AACD from 2003 until he became president in 2011, and is currently up for a position on the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry, which is the credentialing arm of the AACD.
